And there are thousands of other stories of improved lives because of your support.

New Eyeglasses: Your Impact in the U.S.
Used Glasses: Your Impact Across the World
Thank you on behalf of the people of Kenya. Your partnership offered new eyes to the poor and underserved of Rural Kisumu county. Of note, we encountered lots of school children with vision problems who for years were barely able to read the blackboard and never had a vision exam at teen ages.

Thank you for providing me the opportunity to help people raise their standard of living. Being able to see what is around us makes life better, and a simple gift of glasses is an easy way to make a difference in someone's life. This year, I traveled to Laos, in the south in Savanakhet province. I took two hundred pairs of reading glasses that were distributed to individuals, village elders, temples and a hospital. This is a poor farming region and the glasses were a welcome gift. Thanks for your service.

VOLUNTEERS.......make it possible
Since 1932, volunteers have been an integral part of New Eyes. They are exceptional in their dedication, enthusiasm and energy and come from all walks of life: retirees, Boy and Girl Scouts, working adults, high school students, civic and corporate groups and more. Some even meet, fall in love and get married (see Carol and Dave, below center)! They fundraise, sponsor used glasses collection drives, answer emails and phones, sort and classify used glasses, acknowledge donations, manage our Fabulous Finds thrift store and more. Thanks to their time and talents, New Eyes can accomplish all that it does year in and year out!
